ReconPath ("ReconPath," "we," "us") provides recon and inventory software for used-car dealers. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and the ReconPath application.

1. Information we collect

• Account & billing details — the dealership name, your name, email, phone, chosen subdomain, and the payment information needed to run your subscription (payment card data is handled by our payment processor, not stored by us).
• Data you put into the app — vehicles, VINs, photos, documents, costs, notes, employees, commissions, and related records you or your team enter ("Customer Data").
• Usage & device data — log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the service.
• Cookies — we use essential cookies to keep you signed in and the site working. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

2. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and secure the service and your workspace.
• To process your subscription and send service-related messages (e.g., verification, billing, and important notices).
• To provide support and respond to your requests.
• To improve reliability and performance, and to detect and prevent abuse.

3. Ownership of your data

Your Customer Data is yours. We access it only to operate the service, provide support you request, or as required by law. You can export your data at any time, and we don't sell it or share it for others' marketing.

4. Sharing & service providers

We share information only with vendors that help us run ReconPath — for example hosting, payment processing, and email delivery — under agreements that require them to protect it. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of ReconPath and its users. If ReconPath is involved in a merger or acquisition, data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

5. Security

Each dealership's workspace runs on its own isolated database with encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Keep your login credentials confidential and use the role permissions to control who on your team can see what.

6. Data retention

We keep Customer Data for as long as your account is active. After cancellation, we retain it for a limited period so you can export or reactivate, then delete or anonymize it. We may retain limited records as required for legal, tax, or security purposes.

7. Your choices & rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data from within the app or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information; contact us to exercise them and we'll respond as required by applicable law.

8. Children

ReconPath is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
